Administration
Robyn Mott
Administrative Director
As Administrative Director, Robyn oversees the day-to-day operations of The Center. Her passion for teaching young children and knowledge in early education pervades everything Robyn does. A natural leader, Robyn understands what is required to make an Early Learning Center function at a high level. She knows how to support and motivate the teachers, she understands the needs of the parents, and she has the ability to view the world through the eyes of the children. Robyn has a Master’s Degree in Technology in the Classroom from Long Island University, an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education, and is certified in Special Education. She joined The Center in 2015 as a lead teacher in the Pre-K program.
Arlene Pizzo-Notel
Program Director
As Program Director, Arlene is responsible for the creation and successful execution of our Social-Emotional curriculum, and our innovative Parenting Program. Her responsibilities include parent outreach efforts, implementing professional development for staff, and researching and assessing developmental progress of all students in the program. Arlene is dual-certified in Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education in New York state. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Old Westbury. Arlene received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at Long Island University-Southampton and her Master of Science in Teaching Students with Disabilities and Childhood Education at the LIU Riverhead campus. She joined The Center in 2005 as a lead Pre-K teacher and became Program Director in 2015.

Joan Overlock
Director of Development
Joan is responsible for marketing and fundraising. As a private, not-for-profit organization, more than 50% of the annual budget is funded through donations from individuals, businesses and foundations. Joan’s early background is in marketing and advertising. She is the co-founder of goodcircle.
Krissy Feleppa
Development Associate
Krissy works in Development on community outreach and marketing communications. She is responsible for social media and public relations, spearheads special events such as our Annual Family Fun-Raiser, and manages The Center’s Parents Group. Krissy has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
Peggy Miller
Assistant to Directors
Peggy took over the role of Administrative Assistant at the end of our 2018/2019 school year. She joined The Center as a Teacher’s Assistant in 2017 and continues to assist in classrooms when needed. Before coming to work at The Center she has worked as an office manager, in a decorator’s shop, and as an EMT. She is still a member of the Springs Fire Department.
Mary Carter
Kitchen Manager
Mary is the person behind two meals and two snacks daily, year round for the children of the Center. Mary has been a part of the program since 1987 when it still resided at its former location on Cedar Street. You can find her every day until noon in the kitchen that bears her name.

Pre-K Teachers
Sandy McLaughlin
Sandy got her Masters of Education at Long Island University Southampton in 2002. After student teaching at Southampton Elementary Ms. Sandy was a teaching assistant at Quogue elementary from 2002-2003. She has been a lead teacher at The Center since 2003.
Megan Payne
Ms. Payne has worked as an elementary school teacher, literacy specialist, and tutor. She graduated from Lycoming College with a B.A. in Psychology and Elementary Education and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Literacy Education. She has been a lead Pre-K teacher since 2017.
3K Teachers
Marisol Guerrero
Marisol earned her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Suffolk County Community College. She is currently completing her Child Development Associate Credential, a nationally recognized credential in Early Childhood Education. She has been working at The Center since 2007.

Luisa Rauscher-Monroy
Luisa studied Modern Languages in Bogota, Colombia before moving to the United States. She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Suffolk County Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood and Bilingual Education from SUNY Old Westbury. She has been teaching at The Center since 2013.

Toddler Teachers
Amanda Dext
Amanda holds a Child Development Associate Credential, a nationally recognized credential in early childhood education. She has been a teacher at The Center since 2016.
Rebecca Sales
Rebecca studied Deaf Education at Barton College. She holds a Child Development Associate Credential, a nationally recognized credential in early childhood education. She began working at The Center in March 2019.
