Toddler Program

Children from 18 months to three years old in Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center’s Toddler Program develop early skills through exploration of a classroom set up to provide multi-sensory experiences, and through participation in small-group learning sessions.

Daily activities may include indoor and outdoor free play, movement exploration during music and movement time, breathing and yoga exercises, story time, and arts and crafts projects.

Staffed by one lead teacher and one assistant, a teacher-to-child ratio of 1:5 is maintained at all times in the toddler classroom. This allows for individualized, one-to-one interaction for each child with a teacher throughout the day, along with various group activities that help toddlers develop key social-emotional skills.
