Fall ‘22 update from Tim
Dear Friends,
Wow, November already. I haven’t updated you in a while and so much happens here every day I could go on forever – but instead – some highlights.
Our first quarter is focused on teaching the children about “Community” – which encompasses so many things – the Classroom Community, the Center Community and the Village Community for starters.
Community forms the basis for understanding how we are all connected and why we treat each other with kindness and respect. That lofty takeaway will take time to be evident – for now most of the kids will probably just tell you about the village firetruck and firemen who paid a visit, but we know – the seeds have been planted.
I want to highlight and thank some of the people who have gotten our new school year off to a great start:
Thank you to Babinski’s Farm for the donation of more than 100 pumpkins!
Thank you to the Fire department for your patience and kindness with our little ones and for keeping your heavy equipment on despite the 80-degree October day!
Thank you to our BookTime volunteers who show up every Friday to read and help the kids pickout library books from the East Hampton Library
Thank you to the 72 golfers who showed up and raised more money than ever for our Scholarship Fund
Thank you to all of the parents who showed up in record number for our first Parent’s Night in 2years!
Thank you to our dedicated team of Lead Teachers who nurture, guide and teach our children every day – all day long. A more dedicated, talented group is hard to find.
Please come visit us soon!
