    2014 Multicultural Day Celebrated

Each March the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center gets transformed into a veritable United Nations as the children prepare for and celebrate Multicultural Day.

For several weeks leading up to this special day, each classroom chooses a country to study and the students learn about the history, flora and fauna, art, music, food and cultural aspects that make it unique. On March 28th a special parade and assembly took place with each class presenting the country they studied to the audience of family and friends.

This year the classrooms and the countries they studied were:
    Room 1 – United States
    Room 2 – Costa Rica
    Room 3 – Ireland
    Room 4 – Colombia
    Room 5 – Mexico
    Room 8 – Italy.
